SWEET & SOUR RED CABBAGE

  • ½ medium head red cabbage, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • salt to taste  
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/2 t cornstarch
  • Place cabbage in a medium saucepan with water and salt, and bring to a boil. Stir in brown sugar, vinegar & 1 1/2 t cornstarch
  • Cook until cabbage is tender
