- ½ medium head red cabbage, shredded
- 1 tablespoon water
- salt to taste
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup vinegar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 1/2 t cornstarch
- Place cabbage in a medium saucepan with water and salt, and bring to a boil. Stir in brown sugar, vinegar & 1 1/2 t cornstarch
- Cook until cabbage is tender
