It’s been some time since my last posting.
On April 24th I ended up in the hospital for 3 months because of double respiratory failure. I was put on a ventilator for 17 days & was in ICU for 31 days. I was told I had almost died 3 x’s. My husband was told he should make arrangements. I pulled through because I believe God has something in store for me, not quite sure what it is at this point.
I was then transferred to my own room at the hospital. While in that room I was given continuous multiple drugs thru IV but they weren’t giving me my high blood pressure med. My blood pressure at one time read 212 over 197. I told them I was having a heart attack & that I needed a cardiologist immediately. They said I was having an anxiety attack & to take deep breaths. Do you believe that?? My wonderful, amazing husband was there & saw what I was going through & demanded I be given nitroglycerine. They gave me 2 & I was okay.
A cardiologist came into my room 2 days later to confirm that my enzymes showed that I did have a heart attack. I was sent for an angiogram. A blood clot was found in one of my lungs & so more meds! In that room I fell out of the bed, my own fault.
I spent 10 days in rehab because my muscles atrophied before being released July 7. I’ve been told it takes approx 6-9 months for recovery & to continue with the exercises to build up my muscles & lungs again.
I am here now visiting my oldest son, Jason, his wife Arlene & their 2 beautiful children, Bella & Leonardo for the month of August & to celebrate Jason & Leo’s birthdays September 1. It’ll be sad when they leave to go back home because I don’t know when I’ll see them again. The rest of the family will be meeting up also.
That’s it for now.
